What is an insurance prior authorization?

Here's what PAs are all about.

Updated over 4 years ago

Insurance prior authorizations (PAs) are basically permission requests to insurance companies to pay for certain medications which may be expensive, controlled, or otherwise not on your standard formulary.

Many psychiatric medications require PAs. We provide complete support in helping you get access to the medications that you need, just send us your insurance information and we'll do the rest.

In some cases, a medication may be denied or covered may be unfavorable cost-wise. Your provider will assist in making sure you find another suitable choice.
