Ask about GeneSight pharmacogenomic DNA swab testing.

Updated over 5 months ago

Pharmacogenomic DNA testing is a specialized laboratory test that utilizes a saliva sample, collected via a cheek swab, to identify the most suitable and effective medications for a patient based on their genetic profile. DreamCloud is a designated preferred provider for GeneSight, a test developed by the Mayo Clinic.

This testing is available to all our patients. The collection kit can be shipped to your home via FedEx. We do not charge an additional fee for the test; however, your insurance may charge a co-pay up to $330. The laboratory will inform you of your exact insurance copay before processing your results.

Who Should Consider Pharmacogenomic DNA Testing?

This testing is particularly beneficial for individuals with chronic mental health conditions or those who have experienced adverse reactions to medications. It enables providers to personalize treatment plans, thereby reducing the risk of side effects and enhancing the likelihood of positive outcomes. Pharmacogenomic DNA testing represents an advanced technology aimed at delivering more personalized and effective psychiatric care.

If you have any further questions about pharmacogenomic DNA testing, please consult your provider.
