For all medications (including Schedule II substances), federal and state regulations require that prescriptions be sent electronically directly to the pharmacy using secure Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) or e-prescribe.
Printed copies, screenshots, or PDFs cannot be used to fill these prescriptions, and pharmacies will not dispense controlled medications from them.
