How do I switch from a monthly plan to insurance?

Here's how to change your billing plan.

If you're currently enrolled in a monthly plan and would like to use your insurance instead, follow these steps:

Step 1: Schedule Through Headway

  • Select an appointment and follow the prompts to create a Headway account

  • Upload your insurance information and confirm your plan

  • Your copay (if applicable) will be charged directly through Headway

Step 2: Notify Us to Cancel Your Monthly Plan

  • Once your insurance appointment is confirmed, please let our staff know you'd like to cancel your monthly membership

  • This will ensure you aren’t charged twice

  • Please note: Monthly plan fees are non-refundable, so make the switch near your next billing date if possible

Important Differences to Know

Switching to insurance can lower your out-of-pocket cost, but you will lose some of the flexibility included in the monthly membership:

  • No unlimited follow-ups — each visit will require a copay

  • No phone, chat, or email access for follow-ups or medication changes

  • Monthly visits are required for controlled medication refills

  • Headway charges a fee for missed appointments (DreamCloud does not)
