Do you prescribe controlled medications?

We prescribe certain controlled medications only when medically necessary.

Updated over 5 months ago

We prescribe some controlled substances only when it is absolutely necessary and with strict oversight. There are many psychiatric medications which are regulated by the DEA due to their potential for misuse and dependency. When taken as directed under proper medical care and with careful supervision, these medications can be therapeutic and safe.

Buprenorphine maintenance is available for opioid-dependent patients who meet criteria. We do not provide medical detox or administer IV medications. We do NOT prescribe ketamine, esketamine, experimental drugs, medications for pain, or medical cannabis/marijuana. Many ADHD medications are currently unavailable due to a nationwide shortage and an alternative may be prescribed.

We maintain a rigorous approach to ensure patient safety and compliance. Any patient suspected of misuse or non-compliance will face immediate termination of their treatment with us and may not be allowed to return. We routinely review medication and prescription histories to ensure the safe and appropriate use of these medications.
